Memphis is waking up to clear skies and temperatures near 61 degrees Tuesday, with plenty of sunshine and an afternoon high around 83. The dry, comfortable stretch will continue for several days, but low humidity is raising fire danger across the Mid-South before rain chances return this weekend.
Sunny And Warm Through Friday
Tuesday night should stay mostly clear, with temperatures dipping to about 60 degrees. Wednesday will turn warmer under sunny skies, reaching 86 degrees, followed by another sunny day Thursday with a high near 87.
Friday will remain mostly sunny and warm, with a high around 86 and an overnight low near 64. Winds are expected to stay light, generally around 5 mph or less, keeping outdoor plans comfortable even as afternoon humidity drops.
Low Humidity Raises Fire Danger
The National Weather Service says elevated fire danger will persist through Friday because of dry air and low afternoon humidity. Humidity could fall below 30% across much of the region, so residents should use caution with outdoor flames and follow any local burn bans.
Rain Chances Return This Weekend
Saturday brings the first meaningful change, with a slight chance of showers during the morning and a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms later in the day. The high should reach about 82 degrees, while the chance of rain rises to roughly 40% Saturday night.
Sunday looks cooler and unsettled, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 78. A slight chance of showers lingers into Monday, when temperatures rebound to around 83 under mostly sunny skies.
