A house fire was reported at 40 Northwest 58th Street in Miami around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, with three people inside the home, according to WSVN 7News.
In its report on the City of Miami fire, WSVN said Miami Fire Rescue reported that one woman was taken to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation. Three people were in the home when the fire began.
Crews Knocked Down Flames Within Minutes
Fire crews responding to the scene were able to get the flames under control within minutes, limiting how far the fire could spread through the structure. Even with the quick response, the station's report describes the inside of the house as torn up and charred black, a sign of how intense the blaze was before it was contained.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no further details on what sparked the flames have been released. The extent of damage to the home beyond the charred interior has not been disclosed.
Another reported fire in northwest Miami-Dade
A separate incident reported in northwest Miami-Dade had a different reported outcome: Local 10 reported that two people were hospitalized after a house fire in the 3200 block of Northwest 95th Street on June 10, 2025. That report concerns northwest Miami-Dade, rather than the City of Miami, and describes two people hospitalized compared with one woman hospitalized after Saturday’s fire.
What Remains Unknown
The identities of the woman hospitalized and the other two people reported to have been inside the home have not been released, nor has further information on her condition beyond the initial report of minor smoke inhalation. As the investigation into the cause continues, no additional updates have been provided.
