
A Miami police officer was injured Sunday night after their marked patrol car collided with a Kia Soul in Opa-locka while the officer was on the way to work. The crash happened at the intersection of Opa-locka Boulevard and Northwest 17th Avenue, leaving the fronts of both vehicles heavily damaged.
The police vehicle and the Kia Soul appeared to have crashed head-on, according to WSVN, which reported heavy damage to the front ends of both cars. Two people were taken to the hospital following the crash, the station reported. As of the latest reporting, the cause of the crash remained unknown.
