Omaha starts Sunday with clear skies and a summer-like forecast, as temperatures climb toward 90 degrees by afternoon. South winds will add a breezy edge, with gusts generally in the 20–30 mph range. The warm spell holds through Monday, with rain chances beginning late Monday before a sharper cooldown arrives midweek.
Hot, Breezy Sunday Gives Way To Even Warmer Monday
The latest National Weather Service forecast calls for mostly sunny skies Sunday, with a high near 90 and gusty southerly winds. The newest outlook is warmer than Saturday’s forecast, which had Sunday closer to 87 degrees, according to Hoodline.
Sunday night will see clouds decrease, with a low around 72, while Monday is forecast to reach 91 and become sunny and breezy. The combination of warmth, dry air and wind means residents should use extra care with outdoor flames even though no watches or warnings are listed.
First Rain Chances Arrive Late Monday
A 20% precipitation chance arrives late Monday evening into early Tuesday, before more substantial chances Tuesday night into Wednesday. Tuesday brings a sunny but cooler high near 78.
Showers remain likely Wednesday night and Thursday, when mostly cloudy skies and a high near 66 will make the week feel markedly different. Temperatures may fall into the 50s by Friday or Saturday.
