A 57-year-old Oswego man who owns a Yorkville event space is facing nine felony counts after investigators say images recovered from his cell phone show underage girls undressing in a designated changing area during events held at his own banquet hall. Eleno Silva surrendered to the Kendall County Jail on Monday after Yorkville police obtained an arrest warrant, and he is due back in court on Nov. 10.

Silva faces six felony counts of child pornography and three felony counts of child sexual abuse material, according to NBC Chicago. Police said images depicting underage females in various stages of undress turned up on Silva's phone during a separate, unrelated investigation conducted by Montgomery police, which first flagged the material to Yorkville investigators.

That tip arrived on June 15, when the Montgomery Police Department contacted the Yorkville Police Department’s investigations division about what it had found on Silva’s device, according to Patch. Investigators determined that multiple images on the phone appeared to be copied from surveillance video recorded inside Silva’s own business, Martini Banquet Hall at 171 Saravanos Drive in Yorkville, during several events throughout 2023.

Owner Had Direct Access to Surveillance System

Police said the images depicted underage girls undressing in a designated changing area at the hall, captured during multiple events hosted there in 2023. As the owner of the business, Silva had direct access to the surveillance system, the Yorkville Police Department told Patch — a detail investigators cite in alleging how the footage was obtained and later found on his phone.

City documents show Silva also owns the River View Diner in Montgomery, according to Shaw Local. The reporting does not establish whether the unrelated Montgomery police investigation that first surfaced the images had any connection to that restaurant.

Police Seek Anyone Who Attended 2023 Events

Because the alleged images span multiple events in 2023, Yorkville police are asking anyone who attended or hosted a gathering at Martini Banquet Hall that year to come forward with information. The department has set up a tip line at 630-553-8590 and an email address, [email protected], for people with relevant details.

Silva's arrest came after investigators obtained a warrant this week, and he turned himself in to the Kendall County Jail rather than being taken into custody elsewhere. His case is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 10, when the next steps in the prosecution are expected to be addressed.

The case was first reported locally by Patch and Shaw Local on Oct. 20, 2026; CBS Chicago published its report the following day, among several outlets covering the allegations against Silva. As the investigation continues, it remains unclear how many people may have been recorded or what led Montgomery police to examine Silva's phone in the first place.
