Phoenix is waking to clear skies and temperatures near 79 degrees Saturday, but the autumn reset is already over. The city is headed for a sunny high near 98, with east winds around 8 to 12 mph and gusts of 20 to 30 mph through the afternoon. It will be a dry, hot weekend, not quite summer’s peak but close enough to make shade a good plan.
Weekend Heat Builds Again
Saturday night will stay mostly clear with a low around 79, followed by another sunny day Sunday and a high near 99. East winds will remain noticeable Sunday, with gusts reaching 30 mph at times. The jump is a meaningful update from the Friday outlook, when Hoodline reported Saturday temperatures in the mid-90s.
Dry Stretch Runs Into Next Week
The National Weather Service says breezy conditions should continue through Monday, with morning and afternoon gusts generally ranging from 20 to 30 mph. Monday will bring a modest dip to about 95 degrees, while Tuesday reaches 96 before temperatures climb again.
Near-100-Degree Heat Returns Midweek
Wednesday and Thursday are forecast to reach about 99 degrees under sunny skies, with Friday close behind at 97. Winds should ease considerably after Monday, generally staying between calm and 10 mph for much of the week. Rain chances will remain near zero across the Phoenix area.
No watches, warnings or advisories are listed for the area, but the combination of heat, low humidity and occasional gusty winds still calls for water, shade and regular breaks during extended outdoor plans. Early mornings and evenings will offer the most comfortable conditions, while afternoons look more like a reminder that Phoenix is not done with summer just yet.
