Portland is starting Saturday with clear skies and temperatures in the mid-50s, but the day is headed for a sunny afternoon near 80 degrees. Light north winds should keep conditions comfortable, making this one of those early-October days that feels more like summer than fall.
Sunday Brings The Warmest Afternoon
Sunday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 82 and an overnight low around 57. Winds will stay light across Portland, although the Columbia River Gorge and Cascade foothills could see stronger overnight gusts of 20 to 30 mph as offshore flow develops.
Dry Weather Holds Through Thursday
Temperatures ease back to 77 degrees Monday and 75 Tuesday before rising to 77 Wednesday and 78 Thursday. The National Weather Service expects mostly sunny or sunny skies through Thursday, with rain chances increasing late Friday as temperatures cool to around 69.
Cool Mornings And Patchy Fog Remain Possible
Clear nights and light winds could allow patchy fog to form in sheltered valleys and near the foothills, especially during the morning hours. The Portland forecast point has no active alerts, though dense fog advisories remain posted for parts of the Oregon and Washington coasts through Saturday morning.
