Royal Palm Beach is kicking off fall with a two-day blowout at Commons Park, where tribute bands, costume contests and lumberjack shows take over the Great Lawn starting Friday, October 23. The Rock N' Fall Festival runs from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. that evening and continues Saturday, October 24, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., packing in live music, craft vendors, merchandise stalls and savory food alongside family activities.
WPBF 25 News is the event's exclusive TV partner, according to WPBF 25 News. Friday's music lineup opens with Cover to Cover at 6 p.m., followed by tribute sets honoring Aerosmith and The Cars at 8 p.m., according to WeekendBroward. Saturday shifts the sound with Phoenix-5 taking the stage at 6 p.m. and a Led Zeppelin tribute band closing things out at 7 p.m.
Costume Contests and Lumberjack Shows Headline Saturday
Saturday is stacked with family-friendly competition beyond the music. A Pet Costume Contest kicks off at 3 p.m., followed by a Kids Costume Contest at 3:30 p.m., plus a pumpkin carving contest, per the same WeekendBroward listing. Paul Bunyan lumberjack shows round out the day with performances at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The festival weekend also overlaps with Catskill Haunts, a Village of Royal Palm Beach haunted-house event.
Village Council and Promoter Behind the Event
A recommendation to approve the festival's special-events permit was listed for the Village Council's September 17 meeting. POTTC Events is associated with the festival, which brings tribute acts, vendors and contests together for the weekend.
Traffic and Parking Advice for the Weekend
Traffic delays are expected near the Poinciana Boulevard intersection during festival hours. Off-site overflow parking at Royal Palm Beach Village Hall is recommended if the park's lots fill up. Anyone driving in for either day's lineup should build in extra time before the music starts.
The festival takes place at Commons Park, which features a great lawn, lakes, trails and a sports center, according to Erdman Anthony. The park's amenities make it a hub for the village's fall programming.
Part of a Broader Fall Calendar
The Rock N' Fall Festival isn't the only draw at Commons Park this month. The park's monthly Food Truck Expo and Concert, featuring artist Kiannely, is set for October 16, adding another stop to the village's autumn events schedule.
Royal Palm Beach, incorporated in 1959, has grown into a community of roughly 39,089 residents across 13,742 households with a median age of 41.5 years, according to LUXE Properties. For a village of that size, Commons Park's two-day festival offers a rare chance for families, pet owners and classic rock fans alike to gather in one place before Halloween arrives.
