Thursday Brings The Week’s Hottest Conditions
Thursday’s high is forecast near 92 degrees. Thursday night should be mostly clear, with a low near 59, offering only a modest break before Friday’s high near 86, according to National Weather Service.
Sharp Cooldown Arrives This Weekend
The forecast takes a dramatic turn Saturday, when San Jose’s high is expected to fall to about 70 degrees under sunny skies. Sunday should remain mostly sunny with a high near 69. For Monday through Wednesday, the broader forecast calls for highs in the 60s near the coast and 70s inland.
Rain is not expected Thursday through Saturday, while slight chances for showers appear late Sunday into Monday, particularly across the southern part of the broader forecast area. Winds may also become noticeably stronger this weekend, especially in exposed gaps and higher terrain.
Heat Advisory Calls For Extra Caution
Residents should drink plenty of water, wear lightweight clothing and move strenuous outdoor activity to the morning or evening. The weather service also recommends checking on people who may be more vulnerable to heat, including older adults, young children and anyone without effective cooling.
