San Francisco gets one more mild, partly sunny day Tuesday before a midweek weather wobble brings rain showers to the city. Tuesday is expected to remain mild through the day. At SFO, winds will be light and southerly in the morning, then moderate onshore at about 14 mph in the afternoon and evening, while rain risk remains almost nonexistent during daylight. Then the clouds thicken, with rainbands arriving later Tuesday and spreading through the overnight hours.
Rain Arrives Overnight And Builds Wednesday
Tuesday night will stay mostly cloudy with a low around 55. Showers could begin late Tuesday and continue into Wednesday, when rain chances increase. The National Weather Service expects shower activity to become more noticeable Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday Showers And West Winds
Thursday keeps a 40% chance of showers before 5 p.m. No watches or warnings are listed for San Francisco in the latest forecast, but wet pavement and lower visibility could still complicate the Wednesday commute.
Sunny Finish To The Week
Dryer weather returns Friday, which is forecast to be sunny and near 69, followed by sunny Saturday near 68. Sunday and Monday remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy, with highs around 68 and 67. Umbrellas may get a short midweek shift before heading back to the coat-rack equivalent of a desk job.
