St. Louis is starting Wednesday clear and near 50 degrees, but the morning chill will give way to a sunny 79-degree afternoon. With light south winds and no rain expected, it is a classic late-October temperature swing: jacket early, short sleeves by lunch.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures should reach the upper 70s during the afternoon. Southerly winds will be under 10 knots, and no watches, warnings or advisories are listed for the area.
Thursday Could Be The Warmest Day
Thursday looks even warmer, with sunny skies and a high near 83 degrees. A weak front could trigger a few isolated showers or a rumble of thunder, though warm, dry conditions are expected through Thursday.
Halloween Weekend Turns Cloudier
Friday remains partly sunny and warm near 80 degrees, but clouds build for Halloween on Saturday. A 30-to-50-percent chance of showers is forecast over the weekend, with a high in the upper 60s to low 70s, while Saturday night brings a 50% chance of rain and a low around 57.
Sunday stays mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers and a high near 73. Rain chances rise to 50% Monday and 60% Monday night into Tuesday.
