Deana Carter, the Nashville singer-songwriter behind the 1990s hit “Strawberry Wine,” is set to take the stage at the Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 13. Tickets start at $40.
According to WJOL, tickets for the show can be purchased online through Ticketmaster or in person at the Rialto Box Office. WJOL first reported the booking; the Shaw Local news network later reported it, noting that Carter is billed as a Nashville native per a Rialto news release. Tickets are also available directly through the Rialto Square Theatre's website.
A Breakout Debut That Still Resonates
Carter's career took off with her 1996 debut album, “Did I Shave My Legs For This?,” which the theater's release describes as a multi-platinum international success. That record was released to strong reviews in late summer 1996 and was anchored by its biggest hit, “Strawberry Wine,” per the venue's announcement.
Since then, Carter has built a catalog of eight albums, according to the Rialto Square Theatre website, which also describes her sound as a blend of country and retrorock sprinkled with folksy singer-songwriter qualities. The site notes she has continued writing and producing music for both pop/rock and country artists in the years since her debut broke out.
Tickets And Timing
Tickets for the Joliet show were originally slated to go on sale July 10 at 10 a.m., per the same WJOL report. With the concert now just over two weeks away, fans looking to attend can check availability through Ticketmaster or the Rialto Square Theatre's box office and website.
