Flames erupted shortly before 5 a.m., and fire crews searching the home found a third victim in a back bedroom who was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to fox19.com, two medical helicopters were immediately summoned and landed at the soccer field behind Felicity High School as crews worked the scene. School District Reacts With Two-Hour Delay
The Felicity-Franklin Local School District announced it would operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday, Oct. 14, because of the fire's proximity to school grounds. Superintendent Bob Walker confirmed the delay on the district's website, per WKRC, writing that the district would reassess access to the school later in the morning.
The State Fire Marshal's Office responded to the scene, the same report from fox19.com noted. The cause of the fire has not been determined, and investigators have not released the identities of the three people who died.
What Remains Unknown
Clermont County officials have not said whether the school district later changed its delayed schedule or access restrictions following the morning reassessment. The fire's cause remains under investigation, and no further details about the victims have been made public as of Wednesday morning.
