Tony Award winner Alan Cumming is bringing his new solo cabaret show to San Francisco, with Alan Cumming: Uncut set to play the Curran Theatre on Jan. 22, 2027. The production pairs Cumming with pianist Henry Koperski for an evening billed as songs, storytelling, humor and theatricality rolled into one unfiltered performance.
The San Francisco date was confirmed in an announcement from BroadwaySF on Facebook, which described the show as Alan Cumming: Uncut and noted that presale tickets are available now using the code UNCUT. According to that announcement, presale tickets go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. Pacific time, with the general public on-sale following Friday at 10 a.m. Pacific time.
Billed on Cumming's own website as his “brand new solo cabaret show—uncut, unfiltered, complete,” the production finds the actor working once again with Koperski at the piano, per alancumming.com. The format echoes Cumming's past solo outings in San Francisco, including two performances of an earlier version of Uncut at Feinstein's at the Nikko and a 2023 one-night stop at the Curran with Alan Cumming Is Not Acting His Age, according to BroadwayWorld.
Childhood in Scotland Meets Broadway Stardom
Beyond the music, the show digs into Cumming's own history. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, which is hosting its own stop of the tour, describes how “Cumming weaves together a diverse selection of songs with hilarious and deeply vulnerable anecdotes, charting his life from childhood trauma in rural Scotland to Broadway stardom,” according to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
That same listing notes the production tackles “complex themes of living an authentic life, navigating the feeling of being an outsider,” along with Cumming's own intactivism advocacy work. The McCarter venue, another stop on the run, similarly frames Uncut as “an intimate and revealing evening of songs and stories,” per the McCarter.
A Career Built on the Emcee, Spies and Reality TV
Cumming has long been associated with the role that first made him a Broadway fixture. He won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for playing the Emcee in the 1998 revival of Cabaret, a role he later reprised on Broadway. His screen work spans The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Schmigadoon!, X2: X-Men United, GoldenEye, Spy Kids and Titus, according to the same McCarter listing. More recently, Cumming has hosted The Traitors, the Emmy-winning reality competition series.
A Tightly Packed January Tour Schedule
The Curran stop sits inside a closely spaced run of January 2027 dates across the country. Alan Cumming: Uncut is scheduled for the Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas on Jan. 24, 2027, at 7 p.m., with musical direction again by Koperski, as reported by News 3 Las Vegas. That outlet notes Las Vegas tickets start at $45 plus applicable fees and go on sale Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. Pacific time following a week of presales.
From there, the tour moves to Atlanta, where the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's listing shows the show was rescheduled to Jan. 26, 2027, and then on to the McCarter venue for a Jan. 30, 2027, performance at 7:30 p.m. The Curran Theatre's inclusion on the itinerary is also reflected on the venue's own box office page, where ATG Tickets lists Alan Cumming: Uncut among its upcoming shows.
