The gunfire broke out at approximately 3:30 a.m. off Bobwhite Loop, according to KENS 5. Uvalde County Sheriff Ruben Nolasco disclosed the shooting in a Facebook post, saying one of the injured was airlifted to a hospital in San Antonio, as first reported by KSAT. The outlet said it had requested additional information from the sheriff's office and may update its report once it hears back.
The violence erupted during an early morning party in Uvalde Estates, and officers were actively searching for a suspect who fled the scene, according to the Uvalde Leader-News. The suspect's identity and the motive behind the shooting remain unknown.

Another Airlift to San Antonio in a Matter of Days
The flight to San Antonio echoes a pattern seen just days earlier, when stabbed man airlifted after park fight was reported by Hoodline following an argument at Uvalde Memorial Park that led to an aggravated assault charge. Because Uvalde County has no local Level 1 trauma center, critically injured patients are routinely flown roughly 80 to 90 miles east to San Antonio trauma facilities, a practice the San Antonio Express-News has described as standard protocol for rural South Texas emergency response.
Local responders led the search.
The Associated Press reported the former school district police officer’s acquittal; Wikipedia included an entry about the case. Key details about Sunday's shooting, including the suspect's identity, the motive, and the current medical condition of the airlifted victim, remain unresolved as the investigation continues.
