A Paris Baguette café in Vinings is holding its Fall Festival grand opening this Saturday. The celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 24 at the bakery's spot at 4687 South Atlanta Road SE, Suite 224, in Atlanta.
The event is being led by Cobb entrepreneur Kimberly O'Dell, according to the Marietta Daily Journal, with giveaways planned for the celebration. O'Dell hopes the café becomes more than a quick coffee stop, telling the outlet she wants it to serve as a gathering place for residents, families and visitors in the area. Before stepping into local bakery ownership, O'Dell built a corporate career as a marketing executive for major hospitality and consumer brands including InterContinental Hotels Group, Papa Johns, European Wax Center and Museum of Ice Cream, according to a release from PR Newswire. O'Dell is a Powder Springs resident who made the leap from franchise marketing to running her own storefront.
What's on the Menu and in the Space
The Vinings café serves pastries, coffee, cakes and sandwiches, per the Marietta Daily Journal's reporting. When initial opening details were first announced back in February, the release noted the location marked Paris Baguette's eighth bakery cafe in Georgia and operates internally as Store #4009.
A Rapidly Filling Georgia Map
Georgia's Paris Baguette count has kept climbing since that February debut. The chain expanded to 10 locations in the state in September with a new cafe in Alpharetta's Lakeview District, owned by Swiss-trained pastry chef Layne Alkaasamani, who had previously opened the brand's Kennesaw store, according to 1851 Franchise. The brand is also pursuing a street-level cafe at 1100 Peachtree Street NE in Midtown Atlanta, a 2,144-square-foot space that would join existing locations in Kennesaw, Buford, Duluth, Athens and Savannah, as What Now Atlanta reported, a project Hoodline first covered in April.
South Korean bakery chain TOUS les JOURS recently leased a former restaurant space in East Cobb's Parkaire Landing. The chain operates eight locations across metro Atlanta and more than 1,800 worldwide, Hoodline reported in its coverage of the Parkaire Landing lease.
The Bigger Picture Behind the Balloon Artist
The Vinings celebration is a small, local chapter in a much larger corporate growth story. Paris Baguette America reported more than 280 North American cafés in February 2026 and aims to reach 1,000 cafés in the United States and Canada by 2030, with 150 new store openings targeted for this year alone, according to Nation's Restaurant News. The chain reported 31.21% year-over-year total sales growth systemwide in the first quarter of 2026, with average unit sales volumes exceeding $3 million per cafe and six consecutive years of positive comparable sales growth, per its 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document as detailed by 1851 Franchise.
To keep up with demand, Paris Baguette broke ground in 2025 on a $200 million, 267,000-square-foot dough manufacturing plant in Burleson, Texas, projected to create 450 jobs as the company's first North American factory, according to QSR Magazine. The brand, founded in South Korea in 1988 under parent company SPC Group, has grown to more than 4,000 locations worldwide since opening its first U.S. store in Los Angeles in 2005, as outlined by Craft to Crumb. That momentum helped Paris Baguette climb Entrepreneur magazine's Franchise 500 list in 2026, landing at #29 overall and #1 in the bakery cafe category, up from #61 in 2024 and #42 in 2025.
For now, the focus in Vinings is on Saturday's party rather than the chain's national ambitions. Residents can stop by between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the Fall Festival grand opening on South Atlanta Road.
