Dozens of health-care providers, a mobile mammography unit and a Red Cross blood drive are converging on Valley Fair in West Valley City this Saturday for a free community health event. ABC4's third annual Good4Utah Family Health Fair runs from noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 10 at the shopping center located at 3601 S 2700 W, offering area families a chance to get screenings, vaccines and health information all in one stop.
What's On Offer at the Fair
The free event, aimed at Utahns of all ages, will feature health-care providers, local health officials and informational booths at the venue, according to ABC4 Utah. Community Nursing Services will be on-site offering flu and COVID shots, and attendees are encouraged to bring their health insurance card to receive on-site services from participating vendors.
The station's report also notes that Intermountain's Mammogram Mobile will be at the fair. Intermountain Health says its mobile mammography units travel to locations across the Mountain West and can screen up to 20 to 25 patients per day, per Intermountain Health.
Blood Drive and Dozens of Providers
The American Red Cross of Utah is also holding a blood drive at the fair, with time slots bookable in advance for those willing to donate. Per the same account, expected providers include Intermountain Health, Valley Behavioral Health, UnitedHealthcare and the Arthritis Association of Utah.
Utah tracks mammography screening through public-health indicator data from the Utah Department of Health and Human Services.
