Zula & Mac Interiors and Boutique has opened a second Franklin store, this one tucked inside The Factory at Franklin, while its original downtown shop keeps its doors open as usual. The new location brings furniture, home decor, gifts and the boutique's signature faux floral arrangements to the sprawling shopping and dining complex, giving longtime customers another spot to browse alongside the flagship store they already know.
The new Factory shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to Williamson Source. The Factory at Franklin sits at 230 Franklin Road, placing Zula & Mac among the complex's broader lineup of boutique retailers. Owner Pam Hood said in a statement that Zula & Mac is excited to be part of The Factory at Franklin, a sentiment that underscores the brand's push to grow its presence without walking away from where it started.
A Second Storefront, Not a Replacement
Importantly, the expansion does not mean the original shop is going anywhere. Zula & Mac's downtown Franklin location continues operating as before, giving the business a presence in two distinct corners of the city. Earlier reporting from williamsonsource.com had indicated the Factory location was expected to open in fall 2026, with no exact opening date announced at the time, and the timeline has now advanced to an operating storefront.
That earlier report also detailed what shoppers could expect once the doors opened: furniture, lighting, home decor, gifts and entertaining essentials, all aimed at giving the company more room to lean into interior design. The idea, per that same reporting, was to let the expansion create more focused spaces — one centered on home gifts and entertaining, another on interiors, furniture and design work. The flagship store on Lewisburg Avenue, about a half-mile from Main Street in downtown Franklin, remains the anchor of that original vision.
Floral Arrangements Built Around Customers' Own Containers
Beyond furniture and decor, the boutique continues to offer in-home design consultations and on-site decorating advice, services it has built its reputation on. It also builds custom faux floral arrangements, and customers can bring their own vases, pots or other containers for seasonal displays rather than starting from scratch. Those offerings reflect Zula & Mac's broader aim, as described on its own site, of helping customers turn their houses into homes, a mission Zula & Mac traces directly back to Pam Hood's family history.
That history runs deep in Franklin. Hood's parents acquired the property that now houses the business back in 1987, opening the Country Charm Antique Mall, according to williamsonscene.com. The downtown location has also been tied to the former GilCo Drive-In. Hood, inspired by her mother's love of antiques, opened Zula & Mac in 2017, continuing a family legacy that has since evolved from strictly antiques into a broader mix of home furnishings, gifts, holiday decor and full interior-design services.
Part of a Growing Factory Retail Scene
Zula & Mac's arrival adds to a wider pattern at The Factory at Franklin, which markets itself as home to a collection of boutique shops featuring home decor, fashion and one-of-a-kind gifts. Earlier this year, Williamson Source reported that GG Boutique opened at the complex in February, part of the same steady drumbeat of new boutique openings reshaping the shopping destination's retail mix.
For now, Franklin shoppers have two ways to experience what Zula & Mac has built: the original downtown store rooted in Hood's family history, and the new Factory location designed to give the brand's furniture and design ambitions more breathing room.
