Après Dermatology provides medical and cosmetic care in Heber City and Park City, including skin cancer screening, acne treatment, laser treatments and microneedling, according to the practice’s website and the Park Record. The practice is led by Dr. Tim Michaelis, a board-certified dermatologist, the website says.
Equipment is located at the Park City office
The VECTRA WB360 is at the Park City clinic, not the new Heber City office, the Park Record reported. It uses 92 cameras to create a three-dimensional image of a patient’s skin; Michaelis reviews the scans with AI tools to monitor moles and identify ones that may need further testing, according to the newspaper. The practice also uses VISIA 3D imaging to assess features including wrinkles, skin texture and sun damage, the Park Record reported.
The Heber City office is in Suite 120 at 321 West 1300 South. It held a ribbon-cutting with the Heber Valley Visitor Center on Nov. 5 and is owned by Michaelis and his wife, Kaitlyn. Their Park City clinic opened in October, the Park Record reported.
Background and local context
Michaelis earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, worked at the Mayo Clinic in Florida and spent about five years at Intermountain Healthcare before starting the practice with his wife, according to the Park Record. The newspaper also reported that a 2023 study put Utah’s melanoma rate at 46.1 cases per 100,000 people, second to Minnesota’s 46.8.
Appointments are available online at apresderm.com or by phone at 435-200-3502, according to the Park Record.
