Cincinnati started Sunday with near-freezing temperatures and a layer of frost, but the day is expected to turn bright and mild. The high should reach about 59 degrees under sunny skies, giving residents a quick warm-up after a chilly dawn. A Freeze Warning remains in effect through 10 a.m. Sunday for parts of the Cincinnati region.
Frost Gives Way To A Sunny Sunday
The morning cold could be tough on sensitive plants and exposed outdoor plumbing, with temperatures dipping as low as 30 degrees in some areas. After 9 a.m., sunshine should take over, while southwest winds reach 10 to 15 mph in the southern part of the forecast area, including Cincinnati. Sunday night will be clear, with patchy frost possible after 5 a.m. and a low near 38.
According to the National Weather Service Wilmington, Monday will stay sunny with a high near 61, followed by the warmest day of the stretch on Tuesday. Tuesday's high is forecast to reach 66 degrees, with no rain in sight.
Rain Returns Wednesday Night
The mild stretch continues into Veterans Day, when mostly sunny skies and a high near 63 are expected. The pattern changes Wednesday night, when rain is expected.
Thursday looks cooler and wetter, with rain chances and temperatures around 50 degrees. Rain could linger into Thursday evening, followed by a colder Friday with a high near 46.
A Cooler Finish To The Week
Friday may bring scattered showers, which are expected to end in the evening. Saturday's high is expected to be in the upper 40s to around 50.
The updated outlook adds a more immediate freeze warning and a clearer midweek transition than the earlier forecast covered in Hoodline's previous Cincinnati weather report. For now, the best outdoor window is Sunday through Tuesday, before rain and colder air move back in.
