Miami is waking to mostly cloudy skies, humid air and temperatures around 75 degrees Thursday morning, with a sunny afternoon headed toward 85. The catch is along the coast, where minor flooding remains possible near high tide even as the broader forecast dries out.
Sunny Friday, With Coastal Flooding Still Possible
Friday is expected to be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, with a 10% chance of rain. A Coastal Flood Statement from the National Weather Service in Miami remains in effect through 7 p.m. for coastal Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, where isolated minor flooding could put water on low-lying roads and property around high tide.
Drivers should avoid flooded roadways, particularly near the waterfront and other low spots. Friday night stays mostly clear with a low near 75, setting up another warm start Saturday.
Weekend Stays Warm Before Showers Creep Back
Saturday should be sunny with a chance of showers Saturday night. Sunday should be mostly sunny with a high near 83, and showers are expected to return early the following week; the updated pattern is a drier turn from the wetter setup outlined in an earlier Hoodline forecast.
Northeast Winds Pick Up Next Week
Monday and Tuesday remain mostly sunny, with highs near 82 Monday and 81 Tuesday, and northeast winds strengthening to 10 to 15 mph Monday, with gusts up to 20 mph. Tuesday has a 30% chance of rain, while Wednesday around Veterans Day brings a 20% to 30% chance of precipitation, with showers and thunderstorms possible. Thursday brings a 20% to 30% chance of precipitation.
For now, Friday is a good day for outdoor plans if they do not depend on low-lying coastal roads staying completely dry. The weekend looks broadly favorable, but a light rain jacket may earn its place in the car by Saturday night.
