Portland is starting Tuesday around 48 degrees under cloudy skies, but the city has one more mild, mostly dry day ahead before the rain returns. Partly sunny breaks should push temperatures near 61 degrees, making Tuesday the week’s best window for errands, walks and other outdoor plans.
One More Dry Window Tuesday
Rain chances stay near zero through Tuesday, with light and variable winds in the city. Parts of the eastern Portland metro could still see breezy easterly winds this morning, while the rest of the area remains relatively calm.
Tuesday night turns mostly clear, with temperatures dropping into the mid to upper 30s. Patchy fog is expected after 2 a.m., setting up a murkier start to Wednesday.
Fog Gives Way To Wednesday Rain
Fog should linger into Wednesday morning, with mostly dry conditions likely through Wednesday afternoon. The front reaches the coast later Wednesday afternoon and spreads inland by Wednesday evening, when rain chances peak. The National Weather Service Portland office puts the chance of rain at 100%.
Wednesday’s high should reach about 58 degrees, followed by rain Wednesday night. Thursday brings a brief break, with only a slight chance of morning rain before partly sunny skies and a high near 59.
Another Wet Push Arrives This Weekend
Friday stays cloudy with a chance of light rain, while Saturday could warm to around 63 degrees with some sunshine and only a slight rain chance during the day. The pattern turns wetter Saturday night, when rain becomes likely, and rain remains likely Sunday before late-day fog.
The wetter outlook is a substantive update from Hoodline’s earlier Portland forecast, which had emphasized a dry break through Tuesday. For now, Portland gets one pleasant November day before the umbrellas take over again.
