A Silver Alert is active for a 61-year-old Brentwood man who was last seen Saturday and is believed to be traveling on foot somewhere in the Brentwood area. Guangxue Li has a medical condition that authorities say may impair his ability to return home safely without help.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the alert for Li, describing him as 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, according to WKRN News 2. He was last seen wearing a navy jacket over a red checkered shirt, black pants, and dark beige Skechers shoes.
Authorities are asking anyone who spots Li to call 1-800-TBI-FIND or reach the Brentwood Police Department directly at 615-371-0160.
A Pattern of Silver Alerts in Brentwood
This is not the first time Brentwood has seen a Silver Alert in recent memory. In July, Brentwood Police reported 85-year-old James Walker missing after he was last seen on Wheatfield Circle, and the TBI escalated that report to a Silver Alert on a Friday morning, according to WSMV. That alert was later canceled after Walker was found safe.
In November 2024, the TBI issued a similar alert for another Brentwood resident, 62-year-old Andrew Link, who was described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. WSMV reported at the time that Link was believed to be traveling in a blue 2013 Honda Odyssey bearing the Tennessee tag HB5532, and he was later found safe.
Those earlier cases do not indicate how Li's situation will unfold, and his current status has not been confirmed. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Brentwood Police Department or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation using the number listed above.
