A Spanish tapas chain known for its bite-sized sandwiches is setting its sights on Hollywood Boulevard. Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation records show 100 Montaditos is planning a new restaurant at 1935 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, Florida 33020, adding another South Florida outpost to its expanding regional lineup.
The filing, listed under 100M Hollywood LLC, identifies the project as a 100 Montaditos restaurant in Broward County, according to WhatNow.
What Diners Can Expect From the Menu
100 Montaditos built its name on small Spanish-style sandwiches called montaditos, served with varied fillings that range from meat and cheese to seafood combinations. The menu also features traditional tapas, salads, appetizers and Spanish-inspired drinks including sangria and beer, leaning into a concept centered on casual dining and sharing plates among friends.
The brand traces back to 2000 in Spain and operates as part of Restalia Holding, a Spanish restaurant group behind several hospitality concepts. Through a franchise model, 100 Montaditos has grown into an international presence with restaurants spread across Europe, the United States and Latin America.
A Growing South Florida Footprint
The chain already has a solid foothold in the region, with existing restaurants in Coral Way, Doral, Miami Lakes, Midtown, Pembroke Pines and West Kendall. One of those, a Calle Ocho location in Little Havana at 1643 SW 8th St. in Miami, features both indoor dining and an outdoor terrace, and offers dine-in, pickup and delivery.
A planned Hollywood restaurant would mark a further expansion of that South Florida presence, building on a pattern the chain has followed in recent years. WhatNow previously reported the addition of South Florida locations to a portfolio that already includes hundreds of units in Spain, the outlet's earlier coverage noted.
Other Projects in the Pipeline
That same report detailed other 100 Montaditos projects moving through the pipeline around the region. A location planned at 1643 SW Eighth Street in Miami's Calle 8 had no opening timeline available at the time, while a Coral Gables location at 327 Alhambra Circle had a managing director saying, “We're hoping for next week.” A third site at 12588 Pines Boulevard, Suite 104, in Pembroke Pines appeared close to opening, per the same account.
No such detail has surfaced yet for the Hollywood Boulevard project. WhatNow says it will follow the project and report on construction progress and an anticipated opening date as more information becomes available.
