St. Louis is trading a chilly start for a sunny Sunday, with early river-valley fog giving way to blue skies and temperatures near 63 degrees. Light west winds should keep the day comfortable for errands, patios and a long walk before evening temperatures slide back through the 50s.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis expects fog to lift during the morning, followed by dry and sunny conditions through the afternoon. No watches, warnings or advisories are posted for the area.
Warmup Peaks Tuesday
The mild stretch continues Monday with sunshine and a high near 66, then Tuesday becomes one of the warmest days of the week at about 69 degrees. Both nights stay relatively mild, with lows around 46 Monday night and 48 Tuesday night.
That is a noticeable upgrade from Saturday's cooler conditions, and the latest forecast adds detail to the weekend rebound outlined in an earlier Hoodline forecast.
Rain Chance Arrives Wednesday
Veterans Day starts partly sunny, but a 30% chance of rain and a slight chance of thunderstorms develops after noon. Wednesday night turns mostly cloudy with a low near 42, setting up a much cooler Thursday with light rain and a high near 61.
Friday looks partly cloudy but brisk, topping out near 50 after overnight lows dip into the 30s Thursday night and Friday night. For now, Sunday through Tuesday are the best windows for outdoor plans, while the second half of the week calls for a jacket and a closer look at the sky.
