Phoenix is starting Wednesday, November 4, under clear skies before the Valley warms to about 75 this afternoon. The rest of the week looks like classic early-November desert weather—sunny, dry and increasingly warm, with no rain on the immediate horizon.
Sunshine Through The Weekend
Thursday will be sunny with a high near 78, followed by a mostly sunny Friday near 79 and a sunny Saturday near 79. Winds should stay light, generally 0 to 5 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Phoenix.
Overnight lows will remain in the mid-to-upper 50s through Saturday, so a light layer may still be useful for early commutes and dog walks even as afternoons turn patio-friendly. Sunday should remain sunny and reach about 80 degrees, with an east-northeast breeze increasing to 5 to 10 mph.
River Flows Remain The Main Caveat
For most Phoenix neighborhoods, the weather story is dry, but area waterways are a different matter. The National Weather Service says major waterways including the Salt and Gila rivers will continue to see high-volume flows through at least the end of the week because of dam releases, a concern also highlighted in Hoodline's previous forecast.
Residents heading near riverbanks, washes or low-water crossings should follow posted warnings and avoid entering fast-moving water. The current forecast lists no watches, warnings or advisories for the Phoenix area.
Warm, Mostly Sunny Start Next Week
The dry stretch continues Monday with a mostly sunny high near 79, followed by another mostly sunny Tuesday near 77. The forecast remains generally dry, while winds stay generally light.
