Can you believe the Lower Haight Holiday Art Walk is next Friday?
Well, whether you believe it or not, this thing is happening -- and here's what you need to know!

The Art Walk is scheduled for
Friday, December 3rd, from
6-9:30pm. It'll feature art, live music, food, and discounts at dozens of neighborhood shops and galleries, including:

Holiday Window Decorating Contest!
Want to express your yuletide joy, potentially win fantastic prizes, and have your house or shop photographed by yours truly and featured on Haighteration?
Then enter the first-ever Lower Haight holiday window decorating contest!
Here's what to do!
1. To enter the contest, email

2. Decorate your windows by Friday Dec 3rd!
3. Folks are encouraged to come out to the Art Walk on Dec. 3 to see the windows in person, or visit Haighteration to vote for their favorites.
4. Voting will be open from Dec 3 to Dec 10.
5. Votes will be tallied and Winners will be announced on Dec. 10!
This is open to neighbors and merchants alike, and if
Halloween house-decorating was any indication, we'll probably see a lot of great entries for this one. So, get creative!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
SCAVENGER HUNT!
Based on the success of the first one at
August's art walk, the scavenger hunt is returning -- but this time, with a twist!
Bingo!
Yes, the holiday scavenger hunt will be bingo-style. Entrants will receive a grid of clues, and will just have to complete one row, column, or diagonal series for a chance to win $100 cash! It's a great way to explore the neighborhood and have some fun -- plus, it's free!
Here are the rules:
1. Teams can be 1 to 4 people in size
2. You don't get points for speed, so enjoy the art walk! Just be sure to complete a bingo row, column, etc before 9:30pm
3. Clues will involve taking photos, so be sure to bring your digital camera or have your phone camera ready!
4. You must be signed up and checked in at Lower Haters before starting and to receive your first clue.
5. Drawing for the cash prize for those that complete the hunt will happen at 9:30pm at Lower Haters
