Here are some local news stories that slipped through the cracks this week.
After a lengthy wait, Cafe Divis finally received its license to start selling beer and wine this week. As a result, we hear they're going to be undergoing a pretty significant transformation, including new operating hours, a new dedicated sommelier, and even a new name. More on all that in a week or so, so stay tuned. Somewhat relatedly, work has been going on inside the old Burger Joint location. We've heard rumors about what's happening, but haven't been able to confirm. We'll keep you posted. If you're a lady with hair, maybe you'd be interested in this holiday hair class at Edo Salon. For $100 (a 33% discount), you and five friends can get styling tips, free Bumble & Bumble products, and champagne. The offer ends at noon on Tuesday. A race in the Panhandle and Golden Gate Park on Sunday morning will mean Fell and Oak streets will be closed between Broderick and Stanyan from 7:45am to 10:30am. Plan accordingly.
