Last week we told you about a rash of at least 5 muggings involving pepper spray across the city Wednesday night, including one attack on Page Street. Last night, police announced that they've arrested 5 suspects in connection with the robberies.

According to the SFPD, Jalil Leon Jones, 27, of Hayward and Troyetta Carpenter, 18, of San Francisco were taken into custody for:
  • robbery
  • possession of stolen property
  • conspiracy
  • probation violation
  • possession of methamphetamine
Three juveniles were also arrested. The Chronicle notes that police were able to recover some of the items the group stole during the attacks, as well as "some stolen items that had been taken during prior robberies," according to the SFPD. So, this clearly wasn't their first rodeo, to use the most overused term of 2010. Congrats to the SFPD for quickly taking these bandits off the streets, and for making the Lower Haight safe safer again!
