According to SFExaminer.com:
Six black men, between the ages of 18 and 24, entered the business around 6:15 p.m. and were told by the 28-year-old merchant they were closed, cops said. One of the crooks pulled out a gun and threatened the victim while the others tied him up and robbed the store, police said.Shortly following the robbery, owner Kyle Eads tweeted:
bad news we were robbed at gunpoint. everyone is fine we will have more info soon...While the Examiner article says that police have made no arrests, a source told Haighteration this afternoon that at least one of the suspects had been apprehended. The source also provided other details which we are working to confirm. We've reached out to both SFCollection and police for more information, and will update this post with any more details. Understandably, the store is closed today. Update 5:00pm: An SFPD spokesman tells Haighteration that while none of the 6 suspects has been arrested, last night's robbery did lead police to arrest a 29-year-old SF resident on separate drug charges. Police added that in addition to the gun, the suspects made "verbal threats" to the victim, though they wouldn't elaborate on specifics, as the investigation is ongoing. If you have information, call the SFPD's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444, or text your tip (along with keyword "SFPD") to TIP411.
