These news items may not have gotten the full Haighteration treatment this week, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve some love. Here's our usual Friday roundup!

  • Remember how Trader Joe's was maybe going to open at Noe and Market? Yeah... that's definitely not happening.
  • Somewhere near Broderick and Haight last weekend, one of the world's worst dogsitters stole a German Shepherd puppy he was tasked with watching. The pup was recovered unharmed, fortunately.
  • In other unusual tales from the crime blotter, a man was robbed of his medical marijuana on the 300 block of Haight Street on Tuesday. There have been no arrests, and the pot was not recovered.
  • Today is the last day to vote for your favorite Divisadero Art Walk poster design.
  • And while you're into voting, check out the 50 cute pups that were named as finalists in 7x7's 2011 Dog Poll, the winner of which will be crowned Grand Marshal of the Duboce Park Dogfest. Vote for your favorites by Tuesday if you want to see them advance to the next round.
  • The big changes rumored to be coming to the Duboce and Church intersection are really starting to take shape. Improvements will include closing Duboce between Church and Fillmore to automobile traffic, new Muni shelters, wider boarding islands, and more greenery.
  • Be sure to check out photographer Dan Daniel's current show at Bean There. Daniel is a 25-year Lower Haight resident and many of his black and white photos were taken around the neighborhood. The show will be up through March.
  • Our Birthday Bash just keeps growing -- Nickies and the Light Fantastic Salonspa have joined more than 40 other local businesses who will be offering discounts Tuesday when you mention Haighteration. RSVP over on our Facebook page and we'll see you Tuesday!
  • And finally, speaking of Tuesday -- we were extremely luck to get a preview peek (and meal!) at Greenburger's last night, and were completely blown away. We'll have a full recap late next week, but here's a little teaser pic to wet your whistle:
They'll be having an open house for Haighteration readers on Tuesday afternoon from 4-6pm, so be sure to swing by and see for yourself!
