Berlin-Style Ping Pong Returns to D-Structure Friday
Clear your calendar, kids: the ping-pong sensation that swept the nation Haighteration returns to the Lower Haight this Friday night.

Last month, D-Structure (520 Haight) played host to two consecutive Saturday nights of Berlin-style ping pongery, organized by American Tripps, a project of MissionMission's Allan Hough. In Berlin-style pong, 20ish competitors circle the table, volleying as they go and getting eliminated as they make errors, until a champion emerges. It's quite a scene, with music and beer and youthful exuberance for hours. December's events went so well -- officially described as "*smashing* successes" -- that American Tripps has decided to make the Lower Haight gigs a "semi-regular" thing. This Friday night, Tripps returns to D-Structure from 8:30pm onward. Entrance will cost $5 at the door, and, if you're so inclined, you can RSVP here. Also, the good folks at A.T. have hooked us up with a free pair of tickets to give away to a lucky reader. So, if you'd like to attend, just be the first to leave a comment below saying so! (Just make sure your disqus account has a legit email address so we can contact you if you win.)
