First of all, gang: happy new year.
Long-time Haighteration readers may recall that we kicked off 2011 by losing the Curbed Cup, Curbed's battle for the neighborhood of the year, by a single, soul-crushing vote. To Potrero Hill, no less.
Today, we have a chance at redemption.
In three rounds of hot tournament action over the past few weeks, the Lower Haight has prevailed against Civic Center, the Mission, and Hayes Valley. Now we face Russian Hill in the finals, and voting ends today at noon. Help push us over the top by voting here, and let's start 2012 with a victory, huh? And no, the Lower Haight doesn't get anything for winning, and sure, competitions are silly, and yes, all neighborhoods have something to offer, and no, I don't know how they chose these match-ups, and blah blah blah etc etc. Resolution for 2012: let's all be less cynical. And win more.
