The Bay Area Reporter reported that the Starbucks that has been planned for Market and Sanchez received approval from the Merchants of Upper Market and Castro (MUMC).
It will be the third Starbucks in the Castro joining BearBucks and the one in Safeway. The coffee shop will be competing against the Peet's Coffee about 8-10 store fronts away and also with Sweet Inspiration which is even closer.
The biggest Starbucks in the Castro, this location will be maximizing the space currently occupied by the Industrialists by offering 60 indoor and outdoor seating options. From the artists sketch above (click the image to see it bigger), I think the new design looks pretty great. It has no crazy signage and blends in well with the environment.
