Following President Obama's much celebrated reelection on Tuesday the local LGBT for Obama campaign headquarters housed on the first floor, store front space once occupied by NaNa Clothes-Market between Noe and Sanchez streets-has nearly been dismantled save for these fantastic graffiti art images. Created by the army of volunteers who made the victory possible they stand as evidence of a job well done. This was ground zero for get out the vote in the Queer community specifically and San Francisco in general. As of this morning, with 100 percent of the precincts reporting, and including absentee ballots, according to the New York Times map of the electorate by county nationwide San Francisco cast over 83% of it's vote behind the President. The only other spot in the US with a higher percentage by county voting for re-election was Manhattan County in New York City with 85%. We're sorry to see this valuable and historic piece of real estate empty again and we hope that it is the home of a new, thriving business(es) very soon helping to build a better and more prosperous neighborhood and City.
