The thing about predictions is, not all of them come true. With that in mind, we have an update on one of our Hayes Valley predictions for 2013.
Aaron London, formerly chef at Napa's Ubuntu and a 2011 James Beard Award finalist, will not be opening a restaurant in Hayes Valley, as had been widely reported a few months ago by just about everyone in the SF foodie journalism scene. Instead, San Francisco Magazine reports that London is now planning to open his SF restaurant in the Mission. He's keeping the exact location a secret, but it's a "ramshackle" "former horse stable" that will seat about 30 people. The article doesn't mention an explanation for the change of neighborhoods. Of course, this in itself is also a prediction of sorts, so who knows. We'll keep an eye on it, just in case.
