Castro Biscuit reader Denny Garbuio tipped us that he had noticed some activity over at the old Kard Zone store located in between Radio Shack and the empty store front soon to be remodeled into the newly approved CVS drugstore local, the Castro's eighth pharmacy and notions store. The Kard Zone, a popular card and gift store that was in business at 2286 Market Street for nearly three decades until it's owner, Brad Villers, died unexpectedly in 2010. Mr. Villers was well liked and his loss was a real blow to both the business community and neighborhood he loved so much. The Kard Zone retail store front has remained vacant since as has the majority of the Noe/Market complex that formerly housed Tower Records and NaNa Clothing Store among others. An internet search on the coming store 'Hero' didn't reveal much other than it's registered in SF for retail sales to David F. Wilson since May 08th, but, if the images gracing it's window and freshly painted awning is any indication we suspect it'll be offering a variety of designer, under-gear,  and clothing for the discerning male shopper. More to be revealed.
