Public EVNA meeting for Illy, Greystar, SSIP set for tomorrow7AM in the Castro Day of Decision
Castro/Eureka Valley Neighborhood Association The Castro / Eureka Valley Neighborhood Association will be holding a public meeting tomorrow evening from 7 - 8:45PM at the Castro Community Room (above B of A) to discuss Espressamente Illy's  entrance into the Castro, Greystar Development's plans for 2198 Market Street, and the city's Sewer System Improvement Plan with neighbors in the Castro. The coffee goods distributor and retailer Illy Coffee will be setting up one of their cafe concepts, Espressamente Illy, in the shuttered framing shop on the south side of Market (2394 Market Street) near Rolo. Local developer Joe Gurdock, who has been involved in several coffee developments in the past, will be discussing the plans with the public. Earlier in the month, the Duboce Triangle Neighborhood Association put together a meeting at the trailer currently on the empty lot slated for development at Market and Sanchez. Victor Gonzalez (Greystar Development) and Clark Manus (Heller Manus Architects) will be at the EVNA's meeting to present Greystar Development's plan for the 87-unit mixed-use building. Maureen Barry from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission will be on hand to discuss and answer questions regarding the current phase of PUC's Sewer System Improvement Plan. SSIP is a plan (8 years in the making) to upgrade and overhaul the city's failing sewage infrastructure and prepare it for the city's population increase and future earthquakes.
