12-steppers or anyone who enjoys heading into the Castro Country Club for their coffee and pastries should take note that within the next couple of weeks the club will close for three days during the week to complete the remodel of the interior space. Construction underneath and behind the club is basically complete. We took some photos (of the photos) of the renderings for the planned interior upgrades. Some of the main features of the renovation will yield:
- A larger meeting area with partitions between the current main meeting area and chair/literature area knocked down.
- A larger common area with the wall between the cafe and the common area being knocked down and the cafe getting pushed back.
- A brand new terrace out back accessible through the common area with retractable awning.
- A second doored meeting area near the terrace and cafe about 1/4 - 1/3 the size of the main meeting area.
