This Saturday (and every Saturday!) you can find a rotating series of local pop-ups at Second Act.

PopUpsters, whose name sort of reminds us of a whimsical portmanteau of puppies and hipsters, has teamed up with Second Act to bring in a series of local vendors from 11am–5pm.

Started back on March 1st, PopUpsters has since then featured a variety of vendors, including Jake's Castro Kitchen (jams and chutneys), Slim Pocket (graphic wallets made from paper), Blank Shoppe (a mix of art and fashion), Graffiti Lights (upcycled liquor bottles turned into lamps), Sweat Free Clothing Co. (sourcing only clothes from non-sweat shops in the US), Plumeria Flours (delicious unique popcorn flavors), and more.

Aaron Lander, founder of PopUpsters, has this to say about the new space:
This market allows vendors to affordably find space to PopUp their business within San Francisco to reach locals and tourists—and wow, there are a lot of tourists on Haight Street. The goal is to allow entrepreneurs and creatives to have a channel to break into the market, test their goods, gain exposure and save on the costs of starting a storefront by popping up in a high foot traffic corridor.
He went on to tell us that in a city with astronomical commercial retail costs, this helps start-ups reduce the risk of renting or buying a brick-and-mortar space to start their businesses. PopUpsters acts as the liaison between entrepreneurs and potential venues. Cool, huh?

You can find PopUpsters every Saturday in the events space at Second Act. And if you're a vendor looking to participate, you can rent a booth on their website for $60 per day.
