Though the Urban Air Market is still a few weeks away, swing by Sunday Streets in the Tenderloin today for some outdoor galavanting fun. 


If you've never been before, Sunday Streets is a giant (family-friendly) block party where a few select streets in a neighborhood are closed off, and residents are allowed to walk around, ride bikes, play games, eat food, and even get a free massage. 

According to Sunday Streets SF, the organization that hosts 9 of these across town between March and October, today's Civic Center/Tenderloin edition will take place within the following areas:



So what exactly will be taking place at Sunday Streets? About 23,928,394 things. Okay, slight exaggeration. But according to FunCheapSF, here's a list of some things you can expect:
  • The Children’s Center Canopy: kids' activities including LEGO play, ukulele lessons, sewing projects, children’s book reading
  • Dholrhythm: The Rhythm of Punjab
  • Roller Disco
  • City Guides Walking Tour: 12 and 2pm
  • Free bike repairs by Mike’s Bikes
  • UCSF – FREE HIV Testing
  • AcroSports: gymnastics
  • Radman’s Produce Market Grand Opening: live music by Dregs 1, Aisha Fukushima, Hazel Rose, and Different Folks. Interactive mural painting, Capoeira and Kung-Fu demos, Zumba, FREE games, prizes, information on health and wellness, and more
  • Supervisor Kim Office Hours Photo Booth
  • SF Skate Club: Ramps and Four Square
  • The SF Day Labor Program and Women’s Collective: Info on Green Cleaning Supplies
  • Student Society of Pediatric Dentistry at UCSF: free dental screenings, fluoride varnish application, oral hygiene education
  • National Holistic Institute – Free Massages
The event is free and takes place between 11am and 4pm. See you there!
