Volunteers Needed To Put Away Jane Warner Plaza FurnitureRed tables and chairs at Jane Warner Plaza (Photo: flickr/torbakhopper)

Looking for a new way to pitch in around the neighborhood? The Castro Community Benefit District is looking for volunteers to take over the daily breakdown and stacking of the red tables and chairs over at Jane Warner Plaza (17th and Castro).

Nearby Orphan Andy's and The Cafe have been handling the task nightly for several years now, and the CBD wants to find other community groups interested in shouldering the task.

The idea is to get a rotation of volunteers involved so no one group gets burnt out with the chore. The time to break down everything is flexible, but the CBD would like to see the tables and chair put away by 8pm nightly. The CBD's clean team handles setting them up in the mornings.

If you or your community group is interested in helping out, contact CBD President Andrea Aiello at (415) 500-1181 or email her to find out more.
