Lower Haight Urban Air Market Returns Next SaturdayPhoto: Andrew Dudley / Hoodline
One week from today, the Urban Air Market returns to the Lower Haight, making its third annual appearance in the neighborhood.

On Saturday, October 11th From 11am to 6pm, Haight will be shut down to auto traffic between Fillmore and Pierce. The street will be lined with booths featuring more than 100 vendors selling sustainably-made crafts, jewelry, apparel, art, and more.

There will also be live art courtesy of 1:AM Gallery, a Halloween-themed fashion show from P-Kok, palm and tarot card readings, and a "Beats Showcase" featuring musical performances by local bands and DJs.

Also of note: a couple of highlights from Yelp. The company will be hosting an area described as a "living room/lounge" furnished by SoMa's Design Plus gallery, where you can go and make mini terrariums and take part in calligraphy workshops. And something unspecified but presumably positive will happen when you check into the event via the Yelp app.

This is the last Urban Air Market of the year, and the last big Lower Haight street event until December's holiday art walk. So if you're around next Saturday, be sure to check it out.
