On first glance, it might appear another Jackson Square business has bitten the dust: La Boutique l'Art et la Mode has moved all of its high-end fashion inventory out of its store at 414 Jackson St.
Fans of the store, don't fret: it's only a temporary blip to make room for a Casper mattress pop-up called "The Snooze Bar."
We saw workers in the cleared-out two-story space on Sunday installing a coffee bar, day beds and a tented area for testing mattresses. It'll be open 11am–8pm Wednesday through Sunday of this week and offer gourmet waffles, a coffee bar, cocktails and a chance to test out Casper's memory foam-and-latex beds. You can reserve a longer session at casper/snoozebarsf.
La Boutique will reopen on Tuesday, June 16th.
