There was plenty going on in the Castro this week. In case you missed any of it, here's your chance to catch up.

Over the weekend, Caitlyn Jenner made headlines when she skated through the Lower Haight at the Church of 8 Wheels and visited the Human Rights Campaign office in the Castro on the most recent episode of her E! reality show I Am Cait.

There were a few business shakeups, including the closure of five-month-old alternative and holistic health business Cindy's Herb Shop. Meanwhile, Reveille Coffee announced plans to add a parklet, which, if approved, would be the Castro's second.

After more than four years of construction, the apartments at 435 Duboce, right on the N-Judah tracks, announced their availability and pricing—including a one-bedroom unit going for a staggering $6,500 per month.

In police news, Park Station's community meeting was highly attended, due to controversy over District Capt. Sanford's bicycle enforcement plan. This week also marked the one-year anniversary of the beating death of Bryan "Feather Lynn" Higgins, a case in which the SFPD still has not arrested a suspect.

The homeless man who passed away on 18th Street on July 28th has been identified as 38-year-old James Welch. And the BAR reports that the man who passed away near Beaux on August 7th was 75-year-old Thomas Smallwood, a longtime SF resident.

Let's take a look at a few events going on in and around the neighborhood this weekend that you might want to check out.
