For this helping of Leftovers, it's time to whet your appetite for ramen, rock n' roll real estate, a very cheesy new book, roadkill art and more.

If you shop at Rainbow Grocery, you may know Gordon Edgar, the Lower Haight resident and cheese maestro behind the counter. The self-proclaimed cheesemonger just released his second book: Cheddar: A Journey to the Heart of America's Most Iconic Cheese. This time around, Edgar dives into not only the history of cheddar, but what it says about American identity and food politics.

October has been big for Black Sands (701 Haight), as the brewery and restaurant recently launched service on Tuesdays and a revamped menu for fall. New offerings include fried brussels sprouts ($7), a double-decker tostada ($11), Korean short ribs ($13.50) and a fall chicory salad ($12.50).

In other restaurant news, Nickies Bar (a Hoodline advertiser) completely revamped its website, in order to complement its recent menu overhaul.

Today from 6-9pm, Glass Key Photo (442 Haight) will exhibit photographer Marissa Rocke's collection of roadkill photographs (yes, you read that correctly) The exhibition, cleverly titled Modern Landscape, features roadkill from throughout the United States and Canada, and took Rocke six years to complete.

In other (slightly less morbid) art news, Fifty24SF (218 Fillmore) is collaborating with Upper Playground for their newest exhibit, Pareidolia, a collection of paintings from local artist David Choong Lee. The show debuts Saturday, October 24th at 7pm.

Got an extra $3.45 million laying around? Perhaps you'd be interested in buying this Victorian at 630 Page St. It's currently owned by Mark Stoermer, bassist for the Killers. According to Curbed SF, the building went up for sale this week, just four months after Stoermer purchased it.

Finally, Iza Ramen's new banner went up last week at 237 Fillmore. It appears that things are also taking shape inside the restaurant, which replaces the recently shuttered Squat and Gobble
