In case your news feed was too overwhelmed by David Bowie tributes to keep up with the local goings-on, we've rounded up this past week's news highlights.

Friends of residents displaced by the December 29th fire on 4th Avenue have set up two GoFundMe pages to help the victims with their relocation efforts. Friends of Lisa, Mario, and Brent have set a goal of $15,000 and friends of the Hilsenbeck Nickl family, whose cat Chuck sadly died in the fire, are hoping to raise $50,000.

Renovations on the historic, century-plus old Russ House on Stanyan Street are in the home stretch. The 5-bedroom, 5.5-bath "amazing mini-mansion" is now listed on Zillow for a cool $22,000/month.

We've seen some changes in the Inner Sunset food landscape, with Blanc Cafe closing after just eight months in business and Indian restaurant Moo Dees announcing its arrival at the former Curry Village.

Trouble may be all that's brewing in the bubble tea world, with a water shutoff notice appearing at Tea4You and paper still covering the windows at Mi-Tea, despite initial plans to open this past summer.

We also recapped Tuesday's Planning Department meeting at the County Fair Building regarding the Affordable Housing Density Bonus Program. Despite the announcement that rent-controlled buildings would be excluded from the program—which allows developers to add two floors to existing buildings in exchange for making 30 percent of the units affordable—many remained concerned that the program would displace longtime residents and businesses.

Now we turn to the weekend's happenings.
