This weekend, there are two kinds of San Franciscans: those who are totally over the Super Bowl's corporate carnival, and residents who've embraced the civic celebrations around Sunday's big game.

Even if you've already placed your Wing Wings order and have a fridge full of beer and sour cream dip so you and friends are prepped to watch the Broncos vs. Panthers, there's still plenty to do out and about in the Inner Sunset. Plus, the weather just might hold, which is good news if you're planning on hitting tomorrow morning's gardening work party. Read on for that and more local events.

If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, submit it here for free. If approved, your event will appear on our neighborhood calendar and in the Hoodline news feed, which is seen by thousands of local readers each day. We may also choose to write about your event or spotlight it in the "Editor’s Pick" section in our weekly neighborhood roundups.

The past week of Inner Sunset coverage includes a number of neighborhood business tidbits:

After identifying the escaped Orange County inmates who were captured behind Park Station, a homeless man is in line to collect a sizable reward;

Hawaiian-style poke bowls are coming to the Inner Sunset in February;

Delightful Designs closes, leaving three storefronts at the corner of Irving and 7th Ave. vacant;

A new record store called Western Relics is opening up soon up in the former Peapod space at Irving Street and 15th Ave; and

Popular SoCal eatery Lemonade is considering a move into the former La Boulange de Sunset space at 1266 9th Ave. Interested parties can attend a neighborhood meeting scheduled for February 11 at 6pm.
