With spots of rain here and there and fewer outdoor festivities planned around town, it's actually starting to feel like the dead of winter. However, we're happy to report that the neighborhood will be far from dead this weekend.

Starting off the weekend with a festive under-tone is Killing My Lobster's Sex Battle at PianoFight. Keeping with the month's Valentine's Day theme, teams of male and female comedy writers and actors will be pitted against each other, allowing the audience to decide which sex takes the crown in the end. For the first time, they're offering pay-what-you-can tickets for Thursday night performances — meaning you can get a good laugh tonight or next Thursday, no matter your budget.

Tomorrow's good times continue over on Larkin Street, with a happy hour at Fleet Wood. The year-old shop at 839 Larkin—featuring apparel by Studio Nico, bags by Motley Goods and artwork by a rotating lineup of local artists—is propping the doors open from 5-8pm for a jam session, 20 percent off merchandise storewide, and refreshments.

Looking ahead to next Wednesday, the Tenderloin Museum is hosting a "tribute" to Aunt Charlie's, the neighborhood's venerable drag venue and one of its last remaining gay bars. The event will feature a screening of a documentary on the drag queens who've made Aunt Charlie's their second home in the Tenderloin, and a discussion with three of the stars. Then everyone will hike down to the bar to enjoy the weekly Dream Queens Revue.

For more events coming up over the next few days, keep scrolling. But don't forget: We have even more events from all over the city on our new events calendar, and you can add your own anytime (using this form) if you'd like to be featured in an upcoming roundup.
