Upper Haight bar Martin Macks (1568 Haight St.) has experimented with some name changes in recent years, and they've finally settled on one: HQ. Aside from the moniker, nothing else is set to change.
An employee told us that the name comes from employees of the other bars owned by HQ owner Vivian Walsh, who always refer to the Haight bar as "headquarters."
